Five Olivet College student-athletes have been named to the 2007 All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) basketball teams. On the women’s team, senior Audrey Graham (Battle Creek/Lakeview) is a first-team selection, while junior Amy Brackenwagen (Grand Ledge) and senior Stephanie Smith (Waldron/Camden Frontier) are second-team choices. On the men’s team, juniors Jeff Cooper (Dowagiac) and Brandon Way (Detroit/Southwestern) earned second-team honors.

The Olivet College women’s basketball team suffered a heartbreaking 80-74 overtime loss to Albion College tonight in the quarterfinals of the 2007 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Tournament at Kresge Gymnasium in Albion. The Comets end their season with a 12-12 overall record.

Women's basketball team opens MIAA play with 89-56 win against Tri-State

The Olivet College women’s basketball team used a balanced scoring attack to beat Tri-State (Ind.) University, 89-56, today at the Upton Center in Olivet. This game was the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) opener for both schools.

Thirteen different players scored at least two points as the Olivet College women’s basketball team defeated Bethany (W.Va.) College, 82-56, this afternoon in the second day of the Wilmington College Invitational. For her efforts, senior Audrey Graham (Battle Creek/Lakeview) was named to the all-tournament team.

The Olivet College women’s basketball team fell to the host Quakers, 99-83, tonight in a first round game of the Wilmington College Invitational at the Fred Raizk Arena in Wilmington, Ohio. The Comets will play Bethany (W.Va.) College tomorrow afternoon at 1 p.m.

Four starters scored in double figures as the Olivet College women’s basketball team defeated Lake Erie College, 79-69, this afternoon in the consolation game of the College of Wooster Nan Nichols Tournament at the Timken Gymnasium in Wooster, Ohio. For her efforts, senior Stephanie Smith (Waldron/ Camden Frontier) was named to the all-tournament team.
