Johnston named MIAA Player of the Week

In a 77-69 loss at Saint Mary's (Ind.) College on Feb. 2, Johnston scored a career-high 32 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. She made nine-of-15 shots from the floor and 14-of-15 free throws. She followed that performance with 16 points and 13 rebounds in a 71-54 victory at Alma College on Feb. 7. For the two games, Johnston made 15-of-25 shots from the floor and 18-of-19 from the free throw line.
For the season, Johnston leads the team in scoring (15.7 ppg) and rebounding (8.7 rpg). She is shooting 58.2 percent (117-of-201) from the floor and 79.2 percent (80-of-101) from the free throw line.
Johnston and the Comets (8-13, 2-9 MIAA) will travel to play Albion College tomorrow, Feb. 10, at 7:30 p.m.
