The Olivet College women's basketball team dropped a 74-53 decision against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Calvin College today at the Upton Center.
In the game, the Knights (11-3, 5-1 MIAA) shot 59.2 percent from the floor, and the Lady Comets (6-9, 0-6 MIAA) made 19-of-59 shots (32.2%). Calvin also out-rebounded Olivet, 42-26.
Senior guard Molly Lipton (Ann Arbor/Pioneer High School) led the Comets with 12 points. Senior Kim Strange (Ellsworth High School), sophomore center Amanda Johnston (Mt. Morris/Genessee High School) and freshman forward Stephanie Smith (Waldron/Camden Frontier High School) had eight points apiece. Johnston grabbed a team-high six rebounds.
Olivet will take a break from MIAA action and travel to play Tri-State (Ind.) University on Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 7:30 p.m.
