Women's basketball team falls to Purdue-Calumet, 64-57
The Olivet College women's basketball team fell to Purdue University (Ind.)-Calumet, 64-57, today in the consolation game of the Aquinas Classic in Grand Rapids. Sophomore center Amanda Johnston (Mt. Morris/Genessee High School) was one of five players named to the all-tournament team.

Junior guard Emily Fix (New Buffalo/Comstock Park High School) led the Lady Comets with a game-high 21 points on nine-of-11 shooting from the floor. She also grabbed seven rebounds. Johnston scored 13 points and also pulled down seven rebounds. Senior guard Molly Lipton (Ann Arbor/Pioneer High School) chipped in 10 points. Freshman Sheena West (Kalamazoo/Plainwell High School) dished out a team-best six assists.
Olivet is idle until next Friday-Saturday, Nov. 28-29 when it hosts the 2003 Comet Classic at the Upton Center. Davenport University and Concordia University will face each other in the first game on Friday afternoon at 5:30 p.m. The Olivet vs. Marygrove College game is scheduled to start 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first. Consolation and championship games are at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., respectively on Saturday afternoon.
