Lady Comet basketball team loses to Aquinas, 71-46
The Olivet College women's basketball team was defeated by Aquinas College, 71-46, tonight in its 2003-04 opener at the Aquinas Classic. The Lady Comets will play Purdue-Calumet (Ind.) University on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.

Leading the way for the Lady Comets was sophomore center Amanda Johnston (Mt. Morris/Genessee High School), who scored a game-high 17 points. She and junior forward Tonya Dawson (Marshall High School) shared team-high honors with six rebounds apiece.
Following the consolation game, Olivet is idle until it hosts the 2003 Comet Classic on Friday-Saturday, Nov. 28-29, at the Upton Center. The first game will feature Davenport University vs. Concordia University at 5:30 p.m. Olivet will play Marygrove College in the other game.
