UOlivet STUNT splits two home games

OLIVET, Mich. – The University of Olivet STUNT team split two games today at the Cutler Event Center. The Comets fell to Muskingum University (Ohio), 16-1, before defeating Aquinas College, 13-1.
VS. MUSKINGUM
- The Fighting Muskies are ranked No. 2 NCAA Division III STUNT poll. Muskingum scored points on three of four routines in the first quarter, two of four routines in the second quarter and three of four routines in the third quarter. Olivet’s lone point came on routine 2 in the fourth quarter.
VS. AQUINAS
- The Comets scored their first point on routine 1 in the first quarter. Olivet added to its total with points on routines 1 and 2 in the second quarter. Both teams received a team point in the second quarter for a technical foul for self-forfeiting a second routine of the half to make the score 4-1 at halftime. The Comets increased their lead to 6-1 by virtue of scoring team points on routines 1 and 2 in the third quarter. Olivet capped the scoring with scoring all three possible points on routines 1 and 2 in the fourth quarter. The Comets received their final points on a technical foul for a second self-forfeit by the Saints.

- The Comets compete next Sunday, March 1, at Heidelberg University (Ohio). Olivet faces Hiram (Ohio) College at 12 p.m., and the host Student Princes at 1 p.m.
