UOlivet falls in doubleheader at Adrian

ADRIAN, Mich. – The University of Olivet softball team closed out the 2026 season with two losses against Adrian College, 8-0 and 13-1, in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) doubleheader this afternoon at the Adrian Softball Field.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- The Bulldogs scored two runs in both the first and second innings before adding four runs in the fifth to end the game early due to the mercy rule. Olivet had just two hits, singles by freshman Jo Ellen Holbrook and sophomore Kyleigh Ramos. Freshman Elliot Jarvi allowed eight runs (seven earned) on eight hits and three walks over four innings.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- Adrian took a 1-0 lead with a run on an RBI-double in the first inning. The Bulldogs stretched their lead to 4-0 on back-to-back home runs in the third inning. The Comets got one run back in the bottom of the third. Senior Corina Hernandez reached on an error and came around to score on sophomore Alisha Gahn's RBI-single. Adrian answered with three runs in the top of fourth to make the score 7-1. The Bulldogs capped their scoring with a six spot in the fifth.
- At the plate, Olivet had four hits, singles by Gahn, Jarvi, Ramos and junior Alexis Bond. In the circle, Gahn suffered the loss after giving up seven runs on six hits and two walks over three and one-third innings.
