2020 Olivet College Softball News
A school-record 171 Olivet College student-athletes have earned 2019-20 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Academic Honor Roll honors.
Thirteen Olivet College athletic teams have garnered 2019-20 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Team GPA honors. This honor is presented annually to the conference teams who have a 3.30 or higher cumulative grade point average for the entire academic year.
Nine Olivet College student-athletes were recently recognized by Diverse: Issues in Higher Education as a 2020 Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sports Scholar for their dedication to academics and athletics. Olivet’s honorees are Riley Bennett, Griffin Hammond, Liam Kinjorski, Kea Kunz, Karina Marin, Cameron Ramos, Yul Snell, Samantha Torres and Rachel Webb. Hammond, Kunz, Snell and Torres also earned this honor in 2019. To view the complete list of honorees, click here. LEESBURG, Fla. – The Olivet College softball team ended its Spring Break trip with two close losses – 6-5 to Meredith (N.C.) College and 7-5 to Rhodes (Tenn.) College – at the Sleepy Hollow Sports Complex in Leesburg, Florida.

LEESBURG, Fla. – The Olivet College softball team posted a 1-1 record on day three of The Spring Games and inside the Sleepy Hollow Sports Complex in Leesburg, Florida. The Comets lost the first game 2-0 to Marian (Wis.) University. In the second game, junior Kayla Blett hit a walk-off double in the seventh inning to beat Delaware Valley (Pa.) College, 4-3.
The Olivet College softball team totaled 32 runs and 42 hits in two wins today at The Spring Games and inside the Sleepy Hollow Sports Complex in Leesburg, Florida. In the first game, the Comets beat Gordon (Mass.) College, 16-1, in five innings. In the second game, Olivet came back to Wheaton (Ill.) College, 16-9.
LEESBURG, Fla. – The Olivet College softball team opened its 2020 spring break trip to The Spring Games by splitting two games at the Sleepy Hollow Sports Complex in Leesburg, Florida. In the first game, the Comets jumped out to an 8-0 lead and hung for an 11-5 win over Chatham (Pa.) University. In the second game, a late Olivet rally fell short in a 5-3 loss to Neumann (Pa.) University.
BRIGHTON, Mich. – The Olivet College softball team opened its 2020 season early this morning with two games at the Legacy Center. The Comets lost 11-0 to Cleary University and 3-2 to Madonna University.
