Six Olivet College softball players named NFCA Scholar-Athletes
Six Olivet College softball players have been named National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Scholar-Athletes for the 2012-13 academic year.
OLIVET, Mich. – Six Olivet College softball players have been named National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Scholar-Athletes for the 2012-13 academic year. Student-athletes must have a 3.5 or higher grade point average for the entire academic year to qualify for the award.
The honorees are Amanda George (Laingsburg), Lauren Lenard (Dimondale/Lansing Catholic), Chelsea Luedtke (Millington), Lindsey Maas (Pinckney), Marlene Packer (Grand Rapids/Creston) and Maddie Siebenmark (Bridgman). Maas earned the honor for the fourth consecutive year, Lenard for a third straight year, and the other four for the first time.
The Comets are scheduled to open the 2014 season in March at the Gene Cusic Classic in Fort Myers, Fla.
