The Olivet College softball team ended its season with a pair of losses today at the 2006 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Tournament. Hope College hosted the tournament at Buys Field in Holland. In their first game, the Comets let a 4-2 lead slip away as they fell to Hope, 5-4. Olivet bowed out of the tournament with a 9-1 loss to Alma College.

Softball team extends win streak to seven games with two wins at Gene Cusic Classic

The Olivet College softball team extended its winning streak to seven games with two wins this morning at the Gene Cusic Classic in Fort Myers, Florida. In the first game, the Comets (7-1) defeated Monmouth (Ill.) College, 11-2. In the second game, Olivet hit four home runs, including two grand slams, en route to a 14-4 rout of Pine Manor (Mass.) College.

The Olivet College softball team won its fifth straight game with two victories today at the Gene Cusic Classic in Fort Myers, Florida. In the first game, the Comets recorded 14 hits and defeated Emmanuel (Mass.) College, 11-3. In the second game, freshman Corie Green (Brown City) pitched a complete game, two-hitter and Olivet beat Eastern Nazarene (Mass.) College, 3-2.

The Olivet College softball team opened the 2006 season today with a split of two games at the Gene Cusic Classic in Fort Myers, Fla. The Comets fell to Capital (Ohio) University, 7-2, and bounced back to beat Anna Maria (Mass.) College, 6-3.
