Anderson named MIAA Co-Pitcher of the Week
Junior Erica Anderson (Casnovia/Kent City) has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Co-Pitcher of the Week for March 27-April 2. She shares the honor with Hope College junior Kelsey Guisbert.

Anderson finished the week with a 2-1 record and a save as the Lady Comets had a 3-3 record, including a doubleheader sweep at Albion College April 1. Against Siena Heights March 29, she earned the victory after pitching a complete game, four-hitter. Anderson struck out a career-high 10 batters. In the first game against Albion, she went the distance and allowed three hits to gain the win. In the nightcap, Anderson came in relief and gave up one hit in three and two-thirds innings to pick-up her first collegiate save.
For the season, Anderson has a 7-1 record and 0.47 ERA in 60 innings. She has struck out a team-high 43 batters.
Anderson and the Lady Comets (11-5, 2-0 MIAA) will host Hope tomorrow in a MIAA doubleheader beginning at 3:30 p.m. Hope is ranked 24th in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association poll while Olivet received votes in the poll.
