UOlivet swept at home by Wabash

OLIVET, Mich. – The University of Olivet men's volleyball team suffered a three-set loss to Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) foe Wabash (Ind.) College tonight at the Cutler Event Center.

- Final Score: Wabash defeated Olivet 25-14, 25-20, 25-15

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Little Giants used two kills and three Comet attack errors to open the first set with a 5-0 lead. Wabash held the advantage for the remainder of the set.
- After the Little Giants took a 3-2 lead in the second set, sophomore Silas Martin pounded down three kills to put Olivet ahead 5-3. The Comets continued to lead until Wabash took advantage of three Olivet miscues to turn a 7-6 deficit into a 9-7 lead. Olivet fought back to even the score at 10-10 before two more Comet errors handed the lead back to the Little Giants. Wabash did not relinquish its lead.
- Following a 2-2 deadlock in the third set, the Little Giants went on a 10-0 spurt and never looked back.
FOR THE COMETS
- Martin recorded seven of the 21 Olivet kills.
- Four other players – freshmen Jared Carter, Austin Chamblee, Hayden Olson and Alex Temple – each tallied three kills.
- Chamblee dished out 11 assists.
- Senior Matthew Tollar topped the defense with five digs.

- Olivet rests tonight for an early morning match at 11 a.m. tomorrow against Spalding (Ky.) University.
