Fremeau breaks indoor shot put record, UOlivet competes at Hillsdale Tune-Up

HILLSDALE, Mich. – The University of Olivet men's indoor track and field team posted eight personal best performances, including a school record, and five season bests at the Hillsdale College Tune-Up.
FOR THE COMETS
- Sophomore Owen Fremeau achieved a UOlivet indoor record in the shot put with a heave of 53 feet, 10-1/2 inches.
- Sophomore Kem Blassingame ran personal best times of 8.94 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles and 25.72 seconds in the 200-meter dash. The hurdles time is third in UOlivet history.
- Sophomore Deegan Bodell posted a personal best time of 4:48.33 in the mile run.
- Senior Charles Miller had a personal best time of 55.02 seconds in the 400-meter dash.
- Sophomore Austin Cole recorded a personal best mark of 43 feet, 2-1/2 inches in the weight throw.
- Junior Charles Goldman leaped a personal best 19 feet, 6 inches in the long jump.
- Achieving season-best performances were:
- Freshman Kristopher Anaruk in the 60-meter dash (7.99)
- Freshman Brenden Castillo in the mile run (4:45.28). His time placed him first in the race.
- Freshman Luke Senters in the mile run (4:46.43)
- Freshman Lucas Salinas in the shot put (42 feet, 2-3/4 inches)
- Freshman Dontrell Thomas in the shot put (41 feet, 4-1/2 inches)
- Sophomore Kyle Redd won the 60-meter dash (7.10) and took second in the 400-meter run (53.06).
UP NEXT
- Olivet participates in the 2025 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Indoor Track & Field Championships next Saturday, March 1. Trine (Ind.) University is the host school.
