Redd leads UOlivet men at Mrs. G Invitational

ANGOLA, Ind. – Sophomore Kyle Redd had a pair of top-eight individual finishes to lead The University of Olivet men's indoor track and field team at the Trine (Ind.) University / Mrs. G Invitational.
FOR THE COMETS
- Redd was fourth of 54 runners in the 200-meter dash, clocking-in with a personal-best time of 23.19 seconds, which ranks fourth in UOlivet history. He also finished eighth in the 60-meter dash (7.20). In the preliminaries, Redd won his heat and was fifth overall with a time of 7.16 seconds.
- Sophomore DeVondre Chandler took first in the high jump (6 feet, 8-1/4 inches).
- Senior Charles Miller ran season-best times in the 60-meter dash (7.23) and 200-meter dash (23.85).
- Freshman Tyreke Brown also had season bests in the 60-meter dash (7.41) and 200-meter dash (23.63).
- In the 400-meter dash, senior Kayden Shrock and sophomore Peter Moore posted personal best times at 53.61 and 54.37 seconds, respectively.
- Sophomore Deegan Bodell completed the mile run in a personal-best time of 4:53.09.
- The 4x400-meter relay team posted a season-best time of 3:38.60.
- Posting season bests in field events were freshman Yrral Campbel in the shot put (43 feet, 11-3/4 inches) and freshman Mason Korn in the long jump (20 feet, 1/4 inches).
UP NEXT
- A few UOlivet student-athletes will be invited to compete in Friday events at the Grand Valley State University Big Meet on February 14. The rest of the team will participate in the Saturday events the next day.
