Men's track and field athletes compete at Dr. Keeler Invitational
The Olivet College men’s track and field team sent four athletes to compete at the Dr. Keeler Invitational hosted by North Central College in Naperville, Ill. on Thursday and Friday, May 13-14.
The Olivet College men’s track and field team sent four athletes to compete at the Dr. Keeler Invitational hosted by North Central College in Naperville, Ill. on Thursday and Friday, May 13-14.
Leading the way for the Fighting Comets was junior Robert Horton, Jr. (Charlotte High School). Despite a 12th-place finish in the discus throw, he matched the Olivet school record with a 145’10” toss. Jason Van Elst set the record in 1997. Horton also participated in the shot put.
Also competing for Olivet were Josh Beischer (Capac High School) in the shot put and discus, freshman Kemp Luchie (Grand Rapids/Forest Hills Northern High School) in the 100-meter dash and senior Josh Toussaint (Lansing Sexton High School) in the 100- and 200-meter dashes.
