UOlivet defeated by Earlham, 4-3, in spring-opener

FRANKLIN, Ind. – The University of Olivet men's tennis team started the spring portion of its 2025-26 schedule with a close 4-3 loss to Earlham College (Ind.) today inside the Minges Creek Athletic Club.

THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Quakers won two of the three doubles flights to pick-up the first team point.
• The teams split the six singles flights, which allowed Earlham to earn the win.

FOR THE COMETS

• At No. 3 doubles, the team of freshmen Kyle Brown and Dylan Wolfe claimed a 7-5 win.
• At No. 1 singles, junior Lucas Anderson posted a hard-fought three-set win. He won the first set, 6-2, lost the second set, 6-3, but won the match tiebreaker, 10-6.
• At No. 5 singles, Brown recorded 6-2, 6-2 victory.
• At No. 6 singles, Wolfe coasted to a 6-0, 6-1 win.

• Olivet's next match is Monday, February 16, when it travels to play Albion College at 4 p.m. The match will be played indoors at the Ungrodt Tennis Center.
