Men’s tennis team ends season with 8-1 setback at Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Olivet College men's tennis team closed out the 2022 season with an 8-1 loss to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Kalamazoo College today at Stowe Stadium.

• The Hornets won the three doubles pro-sets before winning 5-of-6 singles matches to earn an outright MIAA title.

• At No. 6 singles, sophomore Trevor Lewis defeated Lukas Hultberg for Olivet's lone win. Lewis won the first set 6-3 before Hultberg won the second set 6-4. In the match-tiebreaker, Lewis prevailed 10-8.
• Also, in singles, freshman Colin Moore lost 7-6 (2), 6-1, at the No. 5 position.
• In doubles, Lewis and Moore dropped a close 8-5 decision at the No. 3 slot.
