Men’s tennis team loses to Alma, 9-0

The Olivet College men’s tennis team fell to Alma College, 9-0, this afternoon at the Harper Creek High School Tennis Facility in Battle Creek.

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The Olivet College men's tennis team fell to Alma College, 9-0, this afternoon at the Harper Creek High School Tennis Facility in Battle Creek.

Records: Olivet 0-2 overall, Alma 1-1 overall

The Scots claimed wins in the three doubles matches and six singles matches in straight sets.

The No. 1 doubles duo of sophomore Donald Doyle and freshman Benjamin Morrow, and No. 2 doubles team of senior Austin Briggs and junior Tyler Nobel lost matching 8-6 pro-sets.
Briggs won the most games in singles play, dropping a 6-1, 6-4 decision at the No. 4 slot.

Olivet is on the road next Tuesday, Sept. 25 to play Concordia University-Ann Arbor. The match will take place at the Eastern Michigan University Tennis Courts in Ypsilanti.
