The Olivet College men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to non-league foe Heidelberg (Ohio) College today in its season-opener in Olivet.
The 'Berg scored its goal at the 14:31 mark of the first half. For the game, the Comets outshot Heidelberg, 19-11. Senior Gabe Pringle (Grand Blanc) led Olivet with five shots, including four on-goal. Freshman Kevin Hagan (East Lansing) and sophomore Alan Holdorf (Novi) had four and three shots, respectively.
Freshman Trent Richardson (Traverse City/Central) played the first half in goal while sophomore Michael Manning (Charlotte) was in goal for the second half. Each goalkeeper collected three saves.
The Comets host the University of Wisc.-Oshkosh tomorrow at 1 p.m.
