The Olivet College men's soccer team fell to Kalamazoo College, 3-1, today in Kalamazoo.
The Hornets had a 2-0 lead with 25 minutes left in the game. Junior Justin Hemmer (Lundington High School) scored a goal on a pass from junior Brad McCormack (Marshall High School) to cut the deficit to one goal in the 76th minute. Kalamazoo notched an insurance goal with just four minutes left in the game.
Olivet had nine shots, including two by senior Eric Cole (Eaton Rapids High School), sophomore Gabe Pringle (Grand Blanc High School) and freshman Trent Bronsink (Byron Center/South Christian High School). Sophomore Will Drogt (Kewadin/Elk Rapids High School) played all 90 minutes in goal. He faced 30 shots and made eight saves.
The Comets are next in action on Wednesday, Oct. 22 when they travel to play Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival Albion College at 4 p.m.
