Men's soccer team defeats Tri-State (Ind.), 4-3
Olivet College sophomore Gabe Pringle (Grand Blanc High School) recorded a hat trick as the Fighting Comets snapped a four-game losing streak today with a 4-3 victory at non-conference foe Tri-State University in Angola, Ind. The game was rescheduled following severe thunderstorms on Tuesday afternoon.

Olivet jumped out to a 1-0 lead just 43 seconds into the game on a goal by sophomore Rudy Pulido (Holt High School). Freshman Trent Bronsink (Byron Center/South Christian High School) had the assist on the goal. Pringle then scored an unassisted goal at the 2:08 mark. The Thunder tied the game with a goal at the 27:23 and 36:40 marks of the first half.
Pringle scored the go-ahead goal twenty seconds after Tri-State tied the game. Junior Frank Barretta (Macomb Lutheran High School) and freshman Ryan Kingsley (Fowlerville High School) recorded assists on the goal. The Thunder again tied the score at 3-3 in the 66th minute. Pringle notched the game-winner in the 82nd minute on a pass from sophomore Ben Rau (Sparta High School).
In the game, Olivet had 12 shots. Pringle led the way with four and Baretta added two. In goal, freshman Brad Polcyn (Marshall High School) played the entire game. He faced 21 shots and made nine saves.
The Comets resume Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play on Saturday, Oct. 18 when they travel to play Kalamazoo College at 1:30 p.m.
