Men's soccer team loses to MIAA foe Alma, 3-0
The Olivet College men's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision today at home against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association foe Alma College.
The Olivet College men's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision today at home against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association foe Alma College.
After a scoreless first half, Alma scored its first goal in the 72nd minute. The Scots then added their other goals over the next 10 minutes of the contest.
Junior Brad McCormack (Marshall High School), sophomore Rudy Pulido (Holt High School) and freshmen Trent Bronsink (Byron Center/South Christian High School) and Craig Carpenter (Lowell High School) had two shots a piece to lead the Comets. Sophomore Will Drogt (Kewadin/Elk Rapids High School) played the entire game in goal. He faced 21 shots and made six saves.
Olivet will travel to Angola, Ind. to play non-conference foe Tri-State University on Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 4 p.m. EST. Next Saturday, Oct. 18, the Comets will resume MIAA play at Kalamazoo College at 1:30.
