UOlivet eighth at MIAA Jamboree #2

MARSHALL, Mich. – The University of Olivet men's golf team finished eighth at the season's second Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) jamboree, hosted by the Comets today at The Medalist Golf Club.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Comets returned to the club house with a 327 team score, which was just two strokes behind Adrian College.
- Calvin University claimed the top spot with a 297, followed by Hope College, 300; Trine (Ind.) University, 301; Albion College, 308; Alma College, 315; and Kalamazoo College, 317.
- Charlie Dierkes from Albion and Ford Erickson from Calvin tied for medalist honors with one-under 71s.
FOR THE COMETS
- Junior Brady Applegate: tied for 13th, 76. His round included four birdies, two on the front nine and two on the back nine.
- Sophomore Bradon Ellis: tied for 25th, 79.
- Junior Noah LaValley: 34th, 82.
- Senior Mitchell Bair-Pollard: 90
- Junior Zachary Lull: 91
- Sophomore Connor Bergeon shot an 85 as an individual scorer.
UP NEXT
- Olivet is off until Saturday, October 4, when it competes at the MIAA Jamboree #3. The outing is at the Pine River Country Club in Alma, and starts at 10:30 a.m.
