Richardson and Schipper land on BCAM Men’s College Academic-Athletic Honor Team
OLIVET, Mich. – The University of Olivet juniors Nathan Richardson and Conner Schipper have been named to the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan (BCAM) Men's College Academic-Athletic Honor Team.
The team honors only five men across all Michigan colleges and universities who are at least a sophomore, and a starter or key reserve who have a grade point average of 3.00 or higher as well as athletic and academic achievements. Joining Richardson and Schipper on the 2025-26 honor team are Dante Favor from Spring Arbor University, Vynce Overshown from Mid Michigan College and Marcus Tomashek from Michigan Technological University.
A criminal justice major, Richardson was selected the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Defensive Player of the Year and was an All-MIAA First Team selection. He averaged 14.6 points, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game.
A sports and recreation management major, Schipper earned All-MIAA First Team honors for a second straight season. He averaged 11.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.4 blocks per game.
Richardson and Schipper helped the Comets win an outright MIAA regular season title with a 12-2 conference record. Olivet finished the season with a 15-11 overall record.
