Men’s Basketball: Olivet overtaken by Calvin, 90-62

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The University of Olivet men's basketball team fell to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Calvin University, 90-62, tonight at Van Noord Arena.

• Records: Olivet 3-19 overall, 1-10 MIAA; Calvin 19-3 overall, 9-2 MIAA

• The Knights led 10-5 before Olivet used a 6-2 run to close the gap to a point, 12-11, four minutes into the game. Calvin answered with a 6-0 spurt to stretch its lead to seven points. The Comets scored the next two points before the Knights responded with a three-pointer to make the score 21-13 with 13 minutes showing on the first-half clock. Olivet trimmed its deficit down to six points, 23-17, but did not get any closer for the rest of the game.

• Senior Noah Wiswary scored a career-high 22 points.
• Freshman Conner Schipper posted his ninth double-double of the season with 19 points and 10 rebounds. He also had three blocks to break the single-season school record.

• Olivet hosts Trine (Ind.) University Saturday for its annual Senior Day game. Tip-off from the Cutler Event Center is 3 p.m. The Comets will honor their five seniors in a pregame ceremony.
