McClary earns All-America honors, scores 18 points in All-Star game
Michael McClary has been named to the 2011 State Farm® Division III All-America first-team and D3hoops.com second-team All-America honors. In addition, he scored 18 points in the 2011 Reese's All-Star game, held today at the Salem Civic Center.
Olivet College senior Michael McClary (Bellaire) has been named to the 2011 State Farm® Division III All-America first-team, according to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). In addition, he has earned D3hoops.com second-team All-American honors. A year ago, he was a third-team NABC All-America selection and honorable mention D3hoops.com All-American.
The honors were announced after the 2011 Reese's Division III All-Star Game at the Salem Civic Center in Salem, Va. McClary scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds, leading his west team to a 92-81 win.
These honors cap an incredible career for McClary. He graduates as Olivet's all-time scoring leader with 1,834 points as well as first all-time in field goals made, field goals attempted and blocks, and second in rebounds.
