Olivet College’s McClary named MIAA Co-Player of the Week

McClary led the Comets to a pair of league victories last week, a 65-63 win at home against Alma College Feb. 13 and a 72-65 victory at Tri-State (Ind.) University Feb. 16. Against Alma, he posted his sixth double-double of the season, scoring 16 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Against Tri-State, McClary had 15 points to go along with five rebounds. For the week, he made 10-of-23 field goals and 11-of-16 free throws. He also had 15 rebounds, including eight off the offensive glass, and six blocked shots.
For the season, McClary leads the Comets in scoring (13.7 ppg). He is second in rebounding (7.2 rpg), field goal percentage (52.0 percent), blocked shots (24) and steals (23).
Olivet (7-15, 3-9 MIAA) concludes its 2007-08 regular season schedule this week. On Wednesday, the Comets travel to play Kalamazoo College at 8 p.m., and on Saturday, they host Calvin College at 3 p.m.
