Men’s basketball team loses to Albion, 81-54 in regular season finale

Albion (19-5, 10-4 MIAA) scored the first 19 points of the game and never looked back. At halftime, the Britons led 46-15 on 56.7 percent shooting from the floor. The Comets (6-19, 2-12 MIAA) shot 23.5 percent in the first half. The closest that Olivet would get in the second half was 25 points.
For Olivet, senior Greg Ravy (New Orleans, La./L.B. Landry) scored a team-high 12 points, followed by freshman John Djurovski (Shelby Twp./Brother Rice) with 11 points. Senior Gerald Dozie (Detroit/Southeastern) recorded team-highs in rebounds (six) and assists (four).
Brandon Crawford led the Britons with 14 points and nine rebounds. Junior forward Evan Way added 12 points and seven rebounds. Senior guard Mike Bailey and first-yearforward Drew Yancey contributed 10 points a piece.
Olivet, the No. 8 seed, will travel to play No. 1 seed Calvin College Wednesday, Feb. 22, in the first round of the 2006 MIAA Tournament. Tip-off from Calvin Fieldhouse is 7:30 p.m.
