Pearson named MIAA Co-Player of the Week

Pearson led the Fighting Comets to two wins at the Westminster (Pa.) College Buzz Ridl Classic Nov. 20-21 and was selected as the tournament's most valuable player. In an 83-74 victory over Heidelberg (Ohio) College, he scored a team-high 18 points. In a 105-96 win over the host Titans, Pearson scored 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds. For the two games, he made 16-of-24 shots from the floor and was six-of-six from the free throw line. Pearson also pulled down 11 rebounds and was credited with eight assists.
The Comets (2-0), under first-year Head Coach Kurt Soderberg, will travel to play non-conference foe Concordia University tomorrow, Nov. 23 at 7:30 p.m.
