The Olivet College men's basketball team suffered an 80-55 defeat today at Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College today at Kresge Gymnasiuum.
Junior forward Ronnie Pearson (Holly High School) came off the bench to lead the Fighting Comets (9-9, 3-4 MIAA) with 16 points. Senior guard Matt Brawley (Niles High School) chipped in with 12 points. Pearson and sophomore center Derek Cox (Niles High School) grabbed six rebounds apiece.
Olivet continues MIAA play on Wednesday, Feb. 4, when it hosts Kalamazoo College at 7:30 p.m.
Brandon Crawford led Albion (14-5, 5-2 MIAA) with 21 points on nine-of-12 shooting from the floor. The Britons had four other players score eight points each. Travis DePree had a team-best seven rebounds.
