Men's basketball team falls to Hanover, 74-39, in first round of Hanover/John Collier Tournament

The Olivet College men's basketball team fell to Hanover (Ind.) College, 74-39, tonight in a first round game of the Hanover/John Collier Tournament.

The Fighting Comets will play Wittenberg University of Ohio in the consolation game on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. Wittenberg was defeated by Wisconsin Eau-Claire, 66-64, in overtime in the other first round game.

Senior guard Matt Brawley (Niles High School) and sophomore forward Willie Johnson III (River Rouge High School) scored eight points to lead Olivet. Junior Richard Britton (Olivet High School) grabbed a team-best six rebounds and sophomore Andy Storey (Battle Creek/Harper Creek High School) topped the team with three blocks.

Following tomorrow's game, Olivet will host Madonna University on Tuesday, Dec. 2, in its home opener at the Upton Center at 7:30 p.m.
