Men's basketball team tabbed fourth in MIAA preseason coaches poll
The Olivet College men’s basketball team was tabbed to finish in fourth-place in the 2003-04 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Preseason Coaches’ Polls. Each coach was not allowed to vote for his own team.

The Fighting Comets tallied 21 points. Hope, Albion and Calvin were selected in the top three spots, respectively.
The Comets welcome back four starters as well as four other letterwinners from the 2002-03 team. Seniors Matt Brawley (Niles High School) and Travis Schellhammer (Grand Ledge High School) return for their final season at Olivet. The Comets also return senior Travis Gessner (Grand Rapids/Forest Hills Northern High School), who missed last season due to a knee injury.
The Comets kick-off the season on Nov. 21-22 at the Little Giant Tip-Off Tournament hosted Wabash (Ind.) College. Olivet opens play against Olivet Nazarene University of Illinois on Friday at 6 p.m.
