Men’s Basketball Team Falls to Concordia, 85-75
The Olivet College men's basketball team fell to Concordia University, 85-75, tonight in a non-league game. The Fighting Comets' overall record slips to 8-5 with the loss. The Cardinals improve their overall mark to 6-8.
ANN ARBOR, MI. -- The Olivet College men's basketball team fell to Concordia University, 85-75, tonight in a non-league game. The Fighting Comets' overall record slips to 8-5 with the loss. The Cardinals improve their overall mark to 6-8.
Senior forward Patrick Dermeyer (Chase/Reed City High School) paced four Comet starters in double figures with 18 points on nine-of-11 shooting from the floor. Junior guard Matt Brawley (Niles High School) chipped in with 13 points and senior forward Michael Dyson (Kalamazoo/Loy Norrix High School) and sophomore Ronnie Pearson (Holly High School) added 10 points apiece. Dyson grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
The key stat was the Cardinals made 13 three-pointers and the Comets made just five baskets from three-point range.
Olivet is now idle until Saturday, Jan. 11 when it opens Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play against Calvin College at the Upton Center.
