Men’s Basketball Team Defeats Grace Bible College, 88-82
The Olivet College men's basketball team defeated Grace Bible College, 88-82, last night in a non-league game at the Aldrich Athletic Center. The Fighting Comets improve their overall record to 8-4, and the Tigers' overall mark slips to 9-11.
WYOMING, MI. -- The Olivet College men's basketball team defeated Grace Bible College, 88-82, last night in a non-league game at the Aldrich Athletic Center. The Fighting Comets improve their overall record to 8-4, and the Tigers' overall mark slips to 9-11.
Senior forwards Patrick Dermeyer (Chase/ Reed City High School) and Michael Dyson (Kalamazoo/Loy Norrix High School) led the Comets with 17 and 16 points, respectively. Sophomore forward Ronnie Pearson (Holly High School) added 14 points, including a perfect eight-of-eight from the free throw line. Sophomore guard Will Lee (Lansing Everett High School) came off the bench and scored 10 points in 19 minutes of play. Dermeyer and Pearson shared team-high honors with seven rebounds apiece.
The Comets are now idle until after Christmas when they travel to Ann Arbor to play Concordia University on Dec. 30 at 7 p.m.
