Olivet falls to Hanover, 56-14

HANOVER, Ind. – The University of Olivet football team fell to Hanover (Ind.) College, 56-14, today at Alumni Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Panthers led 28-0 halftime behind a pair of touchdowns in both the first and second quarters.
- Olivet scored on its first play of the second half when junior Thomas Foust rumbled 73 yards for a touchdown. Senior Tristan McElhinney's PAT kick made the score 28-7.
- Hanover added a touchdown in the third quarter and another early in the fourth quarter to stretch its lead to 42-7.
- The Comets made the score 42-14 at the 10:51 mark of the fourth stanza when senior SirQuarius Ball hauled in a 44-yard touchdown pass from junior Charlie Grant.
- The Panthers capped their scoring with two more fourth-quarter touchdowns.
FOR THE COMETS
- Olivet finished the game with 153 yards of offense, 90 on the ground and 63 through the air.
- Senior Amir Jones topped the defense with eight solo tackles.

- Olivet begins Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play next Saturday, September 28, when it travels to play Adrian College. Kick-off at Docking Stadium is 3 p.m.
