Black tabbed MIAA Offensive Player of the Week for football
Olivet College junior Braden Black has been tabbed the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Offensive Player of the Week for football.
FREELAND, Mich. – Olivet College junior Braden Black has been tabbed the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Offensive Player of the Week for football.
Black completed 30-of-36 passes for 350 yards and three touchdowns in leading the Comets to a 44-14 win over Aurora (Ill.) University Sept. 19 at the Cutler Athletic Complex. He also had 10 carries for 62 yards and a touchdown. Black's 350 passing yards and 412 total offensive yards are the fourth-most, and the 30 pass completions tie for the third-most in school history for a single-game. He now holds the top four marks in each of these categories in school history.
Black and the Comets are off this week, and will open MIAA play Saturday, Oct. 3, when they host Adrian College at 2 p.m.
