ANGOLA, Ind. – The University of Olivet baseball team scored 16 unanswered runs to post a 16-8 come-from-behind win over Trine University (Ind.) in the second game of a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) series today at Jannen Field.
THE BASICS
- Final Score: Olivet 16, Trine 8
- Location: Jannen Field; Angola, Indiana

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Thunder scored eight runs over the first two innings – six in the first and two in the second.
- The Comets got three runs back in the third inning. The first was on a double steal and the last two runs on a single by junior EJ Suggitt. Olivet closed the gap to two runs with three runs in the fourth on a two-run double by senior Brody Parten and RBI-groundout by senior Tyler Hall.
- Olivet used a two-out uprising to take the lead in the fifth. With two runners on base, freshman Mario Ricard lined a single into left field to score the first run, and then senior Tyler Duncan ripped a double down the left field line to score two runs.
- The Comets added to their lead with a single tally in the seventh when Parten was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. Olivet took advantage of a shaky Thunder defense to plate three runs in both the eighth and ninth innings.
