UOlivet women and men take third and fourth at AHBA #4

WATERFORD, Mich. – The University of Olivet women's and men's bowling teams were third and fourth, respectively at the American Heartland Bowling Association (AHBA) #4 today at Spins Bowl. The format was a set of five baker games, followed by five team games.
FOR THE COMET WOMEN
- After the baker set, Olivet stood fifth in the team standings with a 793 total. The Comets slipped to seventh following the first team game before climbing to third after the third game. Olivet maintained its third-place standing. The Comets recorded 4,201 pins over the five team games for a 4,994 grand total.
- Sophomore Adrianna Good was Olivet's top bowler, as she totaled 868 pins over the five games. Her high game was 199.
- Sophomore Sydney Gallagher totaled 852 pins. She had the Comets' high game with a 209.
- Sophomore Hollie Wendel was next at 840, including a high game of 182.
FOR THE COMET MEN
- Following the baker games, Olivet was fifth in the team standings with a 976 total. The Comets moved up to fourth after the first team game before dropping to sixth following the second game. Olivet moved back up to fourth after the fourth game and stayed that way at the end. The Comets 4966 pins over the five team games for a 5,942 grand total.
- Freshman Nick Suemnick posted Olivet's best score with a 980, including two games of 200+ with a 226 and 230.
- Junior Raymon Brown totaled 854 pins over four games, with a team-high 256 in the fourth game.
- Sophomore Nicholas Brown recorded 850 pins over four games.
UP NEXT
- The Comets bowl on Saturday and Sunday, January 17-18, at the Kegel ISPBA Collegiate Classic, held at Stardust Bowl in Addison, Illinois. The AHBA championships will be held Sunday, January 25, at the Monroe Sports Center.
