UOlivet women and men finish second and fourth at AHBA #3

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The University of Olivet women's and men's bowling teams finished second and fourth, respectively at the American Heartland Bowling Association (AHBA) Event #3 today at Thunderbowl. The format was four team games and 10 baker games.
FOR THE COMET WOMEN
- Olivet was second after the four team games and trailed Indiana Tech by only 49 pins, 3585 to 3536. The Comets totaled 1,863 pins in the baker games for a 5,399 total. Indiana Tech won the team title with 5,459 pins.
- Sophomore Adrianna Good tied for second of 51 bowlers to earn a spot on the all-tournament team. She averaged 183.75 pins, with a high game of 204.
- Sophomore Hollie Wendel recorded a 172.25 average to place 11th. Her high game was 189.
- Sophomore Sydney Gallagher had Olivet's high game with a 210.
- Sophomore Janie Hill totaled 680 pins for a fifth-place finish in the junior varsity standings.
FOR THE COMET MEN
- The Comets were fourth after the four team games with a 3,693 total. Olivet added 1,772 pins in the baker games for a 5,465 total to stay in fourth-place.
- Junior Ryen Grigg averaged 190.5 pins to place 10th of 57 bowlers. His best game was 227.
- Freshman Nick Suemnick was right behind him in 11th with an average of 189.25. His high game was 224.
- Senior Joshua Billiter placed fourth in the junior varsity standings, averaging 188.75 pins.
UP NEXT
- The Comets compete at the Bowling Green State (Ohio) University Falcon Classic next Saturday, November 22, at the Monroe Sports Center.
