UOlivet women place fourth, men finish eighth at AHBA #2

CANTON, Mich. – The University of Olivet women's bowling team placed fourth, while the men's team was eighth at the American Heartland Bowling Association #2, which was at Super Bowl. The format for today's event was three team games and 15 baker games.
FOR THE COMET WOMEN
- Olivet had a 2,681 total in the three team games and 2,641 total in the 15 baker games for a 5,322 grand total. Lawrence Technological University took first with a 5,589 total, followed by Saint Vincent (Pa.) College, 5570; and Alma College, 5398.
- Freshman Adrianna Good placed eighth of 91 women's bowlers, with a 586 total (195.3 average). Her best game was 211.
- Freshman Macey Lesner was 12th with a 559 total (186.3 average). Her best game was 199.
FOR THE COMET MEN
- Olivet totaled 2,894 pins in the three team games and 2,788 pins in the 15 bakers for a 5,682 total pinfall. Lawrence Tech also won the men's championship with a 6,467 total pinfall.
- Sophomore Kory Nurse finished 17th of 106 bowlers, totaling 628 pins for a three-game average of 209.3. His high score was 231.
- Junior Ryen Grigg was next for the Comets with a 538 total (179.3 average).
UP NEXT
- Olivet is off until Sunday, November 9, when it bowls at the Adrian College Open at the Lenawee Recreation Center.
