Good wins individual title, UOlivet women’s bowling team sweeps Comet Classic

LANSING, Mich. – Sophomore Adrianna Good won the individual title, and The University of Olivet women's bowling team swept the team titles at the 2025 Comet Classic at Royal Scot Golf & Bowl.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The format of the tournament consisted of three team games and 12 baker games. The Comet women's varsity team rallied to edge Jackson College by 49 pins – 4,384 to 4,335. Olivet was down by 20 pins entering the 10th baker game. Mid-Michigan College took third at 4077, followed by Bowling Green State (Ohio) University, 3921; and Defiance (Ohio) College, 3260.
- Good posted the best individual three-game score with a 584 (194.67 average). Her three games were 200, 180 and 204. The 204 in the final game put her on top of the leaderboard, as four bowlers entered the final ahead of her in the standings.
- Sophomore Hollie Wendel was the only other Comet to bowl in each of the three teams, totaling 471 pins to finish eighth. Her best game was 181.
- The Comet women's junior varsity team was the only JV team that entered in the tournament and recorded a 3,453 total.
- Junior Brooklyn Page led the JV team with a ninth-place finish, collecting 469 pins over the three games. Her high score was 160.
- Sophomore Kaylee Byrnes averaged 137.33 pins over her three games.
UP NEXT
- Olivet is off until Saturday and Sunday, October 25-26, when it bowls at the first two American Heartland Bowling Association events. They will take place at Super Bowl in Canton, Michigan.
