UOlivet takes second and fifth at AHBA #6

MONROE, Mich. – The University of Olivet men's and women's bowling teams took second and fifth, respectively at the American Heartland Bowling Association #6 today at the Monroe Sports Center.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Comet men had a 2,044 total over the two team games and 4,025 over the baker games for a 6,069 grand total. Olivet's total was just nine more than third-place Davenport University. Lawrence Technological University was first at 6,273.
- The Comet women totaled 1,899 pins over the two team games and 3,416 over the baker games for a 5,315 grand total. The total was just one pin more than sixth-place Alma College. Cleary University captured the team title with a 5,847.
FOR THE COMET MEN
- Senior Jack Gohlke totaled 440 (216-224) pins over his two games. The performance placed him 12th of 79 bowlers.
- Freshman Kory Nurse had a 433 (254-179) to finish right behind Gohlke in 13th place.
- Sophomore Raymon Brown recorded a 429 (216-213).
FOR THE COMET WOMEN
- Freshman Brianna Fowlston finished seventh of 70 bowlers with a 417 (223-194) total.
- Sophomore Kendalyn Wilson tallied a 385 (190-185) for a 13th place finish.
- Freshman Sydney Gallagher collected 373 (180-193) pins to earn an 18th place finish.

- The Comets return to the lanes Saturday, February 8, for the Scotty Classic at JAX 60 in Jackson.
