UOlivet finishes seventh and eighth at AHBA #5

WATERFORD, Mich. – The University of Olivet women's and men's bowling teams finished in seventh- and eighth-place, respectively, at the American Heartland Bowling Association (AHBA) #5, held at Center Bowl.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Comet women totaled 4,762 pins to edge eighth-place Lourdes (Ohio) University by 34 pins and ninth-place Alma College by 83 pins. Davenport University captured the team title with 5,548 pins.
- The Comet men had a 5,738 total, which was 37 less than seventh-place University of Michigan-Dearborn and 44 less than sixth-place Madonna University. Concordia University-Ann Arbor won the team title with a 6,418 total.
FOR THE COMET WOMEN
- Sophomore Kendalyn Wilson was Olivet's top bowler, as she placed sixth of 86 bowlers. She totaled 924 pins, including 225 in her final game, over five games.
- Sophomore Della Ancel finished 21st with an 847, including a high game of 210.
- Sophomore Emma Wickersham recorded 626 pins in four games.
FOR THE COMET MEN
- Freshman Kory Nurse bowled a 995 total over five games to share 22nd-place of 112 competitors. His high game was 233.
- Senior Jack Gohlke was not far behind with 993. He had Olivet's best individual game with a 235.
- Sophomore Ryen Grigg had a 951, with a high game of 227.
UP NEXT
- Olivet heads to the Thunderbowl Lanes in Allen Park on January 25 for a tournament hosted by the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference.
