UOlivet places third and fourth at AHBA #4

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The University of Olivet women's and men's bowling teams placed third and fourth, respectively, at the American Heartland Bowling Association (AHBA) #4, held today at Thunderbowl I.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Comet women totaled 5,441 points, which was just 39 pins less than second-place Shawnee State (Ohio) University. Trine (Ind.) University took first with 5,702 pins.
- The Comet men recorded 5,830 pins. Trine was first with 6,407 pins.
FOR THE COMET WOMEN
- Sophomore Kendalyn Wilson found herself on the all-tournament team with an 804 total to finish fifth of 55 bowlers. Her high game was a 226.
- Sophomore Emma Wickersham totaled 771 pins to place seventh. Her best game was a 232
- Freshman Sydney Gallagher had a 761 total, including a team-best game of 244.
FOR THE COMET MEN
- Sophomore Ryen Grigg landed on the all-tournament team, totaling 961 pins to finish third of 63 bowlers. His high game was 279.
- Freshman Kory Nurse placed eighth with an 862 total
UP NEXT
- The Comets have the next three weeks off for the holidays and are back in action Saturday, January 11, at the AHBA #5 at Century Bowl in Waterford.
