The Upton Center Pool is the home for the Olivet College men's and women's swimming and diving teams. The pool has six, 25-yard lanes, and is located inside the Frederick S. Upton Center. The address for the facility is 210 E. Cottage St., Olivet, MI 49076.
Open swim hours, effective May 14, and through August 2:
- Monday thru Friday: 1-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday: 2-4 p.m.
- Pool will be closed June 30-July 6.
If you are interested in signing-up for Summer Swim Club, please visit www.olivetcometsswim.com. We will start May 27. This is a competitive age-group swim program for ages 7-14. Your child MUST already be able to complete a 50-yard swim unassisted. We will teach the 4 competitive strokes and all aspects of competitive swimming. Swim meets will be on Thursday evenings against other local club teams.
We will also be offering a competitive Stroke Clinic for competitive swimmers on July 22-26 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Please visit www.olivetcometsswim.com, and click on the “Camp” tab.
If you are interested in reserving the pool for birthday parties or events, please email Rob Brownell at email@example.com. Make sure to include date(s)/time(s) you would like to reserve the pool, along with number of participants, age ranges and reason for rental (birthday, group activity, etc.). Pool rental rates are determined by the number of swimmers and number of hours you are looking to use the pool.
The pool is free for students, faculty and staff with an Olivet College ID card.
Open swim is available to community members for the following fees:
- $3 per person per visit (ages 4 and up)
- 1-person monthly membership: $30
- 2-person monthly membership: $40
- Family monthly membership: $60
Memberships can be purchased from a lifeguard during open swim hours. Cash will be accepted for only daily visits. Checks made payable to Olivet College will be only accepted for the monthly memberships.
NOTE: All children 12 & under must by accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 16. Anyone displaying inappropriate or disrespectful behavior to the lifeguards, in the pool, on deck, or in the locker rooms will be asked to leave immediately without a refund.
