Dean Trailways Comets of the Week - September 20, 2021

This week’s Dean Trailways Co-Comets of the Week are Logan Fee, of Coldwater, and graduate of Coldwater High School, and Samuel Roose, of Laingsburg, and graduate of Owosso High School. The duo helped the football team beat Manchester (Ind.) University, 59-7, in its home-opener. Fee returned an interception 14 yards for the Comets’ third touchdown. Later in the game, he recovered a fumble which led to an Olivet field goal. For the game, Fee finished with three tackles, including one for negative two yards.

Roose was a perfect 8-of-8 on point-after-touchdown kicks and booted a 25-yard field goal. Among the single-game leaders in school history, the eight PAT kicks ties for the second-most points scored by kicking and the 11 total points are tied for the third-most points scored by kicking. Roose also averaged 58.0 yards on nine kickoffs.
