The University of Olivet Announces 2025 Athletic Hall of Fame Class
OLIVET, Mich. – The University of Olivet is proud to introduce the Athletic Hall of Fame, Class of 2025. The four inductees – Kelsey Campbell, Stefanie (Lang) Smith, Theresa (Damico) Underhill and Jalen Weaver – will be formally inducted during Homecoming weekend on Friday, September 26, at the alumni awards dinner, and then recognized in a pregame ceremony before the football game against Adrian College the next day.
Kelsey Campbell ’14 – Women’s Basketball
A three-year letterwinner and elite NCAA Division III playmaker, Campbell rewrote the Olivet record books.
- Three-time All-MIAA – First Team selection in 2012-13 and 2013-14, and Second Team in 2011-12
- D3hoops.com All-Great Lakes Region Third Team in 2012-13
- Led NCAA Division III in assists per game (9.1) in 2013-14
- Holds Olivet records for single-game (19), single-season (236), and career (514) assists
- Has the top three single-season marks in Olivet history for assists
- Broke the MIAA single-game record with 16 assists
- Recorded the only triple-double in program history: 10 points, 11 assists, 15 rebounds
Campbell lives in Battle Creek, with her wife, Vallen, and son, Benson. She serves as a criminal investigator for the Calhoun County Public Defender.
Stefanie (Lang) Smith ’15 – Women’s Volleyball & Basketball
A dual-sport powerhouse, Smith starred in both volleyball and basketball, becoming one of Olivet’s most decorated athletes.
Basketball Highlights
- Two-time All-MIAA First Team selection and MIAA scoring champion in 2013-14 and 2014-15
- Two-time D3hoops.com All-Great Lakes Region – First Team in 2014-15 and Second Team in 2013-14
- Women’s Basketball Coaches Association All-American honorable mention in 2013-14 and 2014-15
- Led NCAA Division III with 22 double-doubles during the 2013-14 season
- Single-game records: first in points (43), field goals made (17), rebounds (27)
- Single-season records: first in points (526), rebounds (348), field goals made (217)
- Career records: first in field goals made (499), second in points (1,208), field goals attempted (1,006) and blocks (109), and third in rebounds (772)
Volleyball Highlights
- Tied for single-match record with 27 kills
- Owns single-season records for kills (390) and points (436)
- Ranks among top 5 in multiple career categories
Smith lives in Livonia, with her husband, Mitchell, and son, Tyson. She is a fourth-grade teacher at Jane Addams Elementary in South Redford.
Theresa (Damico) Underhill ’14 – Women’s Golf
A leader of the women’s golf program during a dominant stretch, Underhill helped guide the Comets to three MIAA championships and three NCAA Division III Championship appearances.
- Four-time All-MIAA honoree – First Team in 2011, 2012 and 2013 and Second Team in 2010
- MIAA Most Valuable Golfer in 2012 (averaged 78.2 strokes)
- Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-American in 2013
- WGCA All-Region in 2013 and 2014
- Held the program’s career scoring average record upon graduation (81.8) and still ranks second in Olivet history
Underhill lives in Marshall with her husband, Ryan, and their children, Amelia and Henri. She works as a sales manager for Mann+Hummel in Portage.
Jalen Weaver ’15 – Cross Country / Track & Field
One of the most versatile and accomplished runners in Comet history, Weaver excelled in the classroom and on the track.
- First NCAA Indoor All-American in school history, finished sixth in the 800-meter run in 2015
- Two-time All-MIAA Outdoor Track and Field selection after winning the 800-meter run at the 2014 and 2015 championships
- Held multiple indoor and outdoor school records upon graduation, still holds the record in indoor 600m, 800m and 1000m
- Two-time Capital One Academic All-American® selection – First Team in 2014-15 and Second Team in 2013-14
- Recipient of an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship
Weaver lives in Farmington Hills. He is a Doctor of Physical Therapy at Marvin & Betty Danto Health Center in West Bloomfield.
