Seventy-five Olivet College student-athletes have been named to the 2011-12 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) honor roll.
Olivet College assistant men’s soccer coach Tom Oatley helped the Milwaukee Wave win its second straight Major Indoor Soccer League title.

Olivet College Head Men’s Soccer Coach Chad Wiseman has announced the promotion of Assistant Coach Josh Ross. In addition to his coaching duties, Ross will now serve as the recruiting coordinator and camp director for the program.
Olivet College junior defender Cole Dehen has been named to the 2011 National Soccer Coaches Association of America College Division Scholar All-North/Central team. He is a second-team selection.
Three Olivet College men’s soccer players, Cole Dehen, Fred Smyser and Adam Wright have earned 2011 All-MIAA second-team honors.
Olivet College freshman goalkeeper Alex Lang and sophomore midfielder Fred Smyser have earned MIAA Player of the Week honors for men’s soccer. Lang is the Co-Defensive Player of the Week, while Smyser is the Co-Offensive Player of the Week.

The Olivet College men’s soccer team defeated Adrian College, 1-0, in its final regular season MIAA match today at the Cutler Athletic Complex. With the win, the Comets improve their overall record to 13-6-1 and MIAA record to 9-5. The 13 wins break the single-season school record.

The Olivet College men’s soccer team defeated Calvin College, 1-0, today at Zuidema Field in Grand Rapids. With the win, the Comets clinch a berth in the first-ever MIAA Men’s Soccer Tournament. The seeding for the tournament will be announced at the conclusion of the final regular season games next Wednesday, Nov. 2.

With the win, Hope moves up to second-place in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) standings with a 7-3-1 record (22 points). Olivet slips to third-place with a 7-4 record (21 points).
